THE AGE OF exploration is alive and well in space, where a bounty of new worlds are discovered every week. To stay abreast of this expanding real estate, there's the Exoplanet app, available free for iPhones and the iPad.

Updated as soon as discoveries are announced, it has diagrams, orbital plots and animations to help you visualise the scientific data of each new planet discovered.

You can also plot correlation diagrams, pinch and zoom with your fingers and email the final diagram as a PDF file; plus you get an interactive 3D plot of the Milky Way galaxy.
