Mark Alpert thinks he may be the only writer ever published in both Playboy and the Journal of Gravitation and General Relativity, though he is better known in his role as an editor at Scientific American.
This is his first science fiction novel, in which Einstein has actually found a way to reconcile gravity with the sub-atomic forces.
But he foresees powerful weapons being constructed using his theory of everything, just as his formula E=mc2 led to the atomic bomb. So instead of going public he keeps quiet, sharing his calculations with only a few colleagues.
