High-definition screens are well and good, but what they don’t tell you is that most screens have a fuzzy, old low-res analogue TV tuner built in. That means you will need a separate high-definition digital set-top box to tune in to the good stuff. Not with the 50PB2DR. It’s the first plasma screen to sport an internal high-definition tuner — but that’s not all! It also features a built-in hard disk, so you can record up to 40 hours of HD or 100 hours of normal digital TV. This means you can pause, roll back, skip ads, program it to record upcoming shows — the lot. And not an extra box or cable to be seen. |
