Every living room is different. And every living room has different acoustics. This can be a nightmare when it comes to getting the most out of your home theatre system. All it takes is one wall covered in books and another with glass screen doors and your audio can be bouncing around and being absorbed in all the wrong places.
Sony's new HTDDW1500 HTiB (Home Theatre in a Box) system uses a new technology called DCAC (Digital Cinema Auto Calibration) to deal with this fiddly issue. The HTDDW1500 comes with a special microphone that actively 'listens' to your space, detects each of the speakers in the system and adjusts the volumes to give a balanced sound.
The HTDDW1500 is also exceptional because it ships as a 6.2 speaker system, which means it has six satellite surround sound speakers and no less than two subwoofers. There'll be no missing that explosion with these puppies. It also boasts a massive 1,170 watts of power, so be sure to calibrate it for loud.
