Designer Michael Leung is on to something.

He reckons most technology devices, especially the small stuff like USB memory sticks, just don't look like they're of much value. When you consider that you could keep your life's work stored in one, then you might want it to look the part, and not like some 50c piece of plastic. His response: wooden USB memory sticks.

The Hardwood USB range comes in three sizes/woods: a light coloured sycamore with 256 MB on board; a darker cherry, with 512 MB; and a rich rosewood with a full 1 GB.

They're also all held together with a rustic leather cord. Just don't drop one on the ground while you're out bushwalking.
